links appear in pink dashed box, need to reset

Hi,

I've been seeing this for sometime on my browser. In the attachment you'll see (I call them coupon boxes) Pink w/ a dahed box around links.

I'm not sure if it's an extension or what.

If someone knows what it is and how to get rid of it please let me know!

If the background of links is red then that is probably caused by an extension like SEO or SearchStatus that has the option set to highlight noFollow links.
You can check the options of such an extension.
You can click the icon on the Status bar to open the SearchStatus options and un-tick "Highlight NoFollow Links"

Hi,
I had the same light pink highlight around nofollow links that I just couldn't get rid of for the longest time until I did the following.
1. Right clicked on the Quirk Search Status icon which is the q with a circle around it. Unchecked where it says 'Highlight nofollow links'. When I did this the links were then highlighted dark red. So I went to SEO for Firefox: I clicked where it says 'highlight nofollow links' in SEO for Firefox, nothing happened, clicked it again, the red highlight remained. Then I clicked on the SEO for firefox icon down in the status bar which made the icon disappear. But the red highlight still remained.
This went on for quite sometime. That's how I made it to this forum. It was either pink highlight, or red, and I wanted to get rid of them both . Which I did, finally.

The solution, after turning off highlight nofollow in Quirk SearchStatus, I turned off highlight nofollow in SEO for firefox, then clicked the SEO for firefox icon to make it disappear, I refreshed my browser and then it worked. If it doesn't work right away, you might have to fiddle again with clicking the nofollow box in Seo for Firefox because there is no check mark there so you cant really tell if its on or off. Once you refresh your browser, there should be no more highlighted nofollow links. I Hope that helped.
